The Best Sandwiches at Buccan Sandwich Shop

Looking for the best sandwiches at Buccan Sandwich Shop? Chef Clay Conley’s popular takeout spot in Palm Beach and West Palm Beach serves some of South Florida’s most memorable sandwiches. Here are my three favorites—and exactly why they’re worth ordering.

The shop serves up hot and cold sandwiches made to order, fresh salads, a daily soup, and Buccan-branded teas and lemonades. And don’t skip dessert—their chocolate chip cookies are rich, indulgent, and absolutely worth it.

Beef Carpaccio

Arugula, parmesan, crispy & balsamic onions, mayo, lemon vinaigrette, baguette

I dream about this sandwich. It might be one of the best I’ve had in the U.S. Something magical happens between the paper-thin, flavorful beef, the crispy onions, the chunky shards of parmesan, and the sweet tang of the balsamic onion. Every component plays its own distinct role, yet they come together in perfect harmony. 10/10

Meatball

Grato meatballs, pesto, marinara, mozzarella, baguette

This sandwich uses the same perfect meatballs in gravy we serve on our Historic District tour. The pesto adds a fresh, herbaceous punch that cuts through the richness of the marinara and mozzarella. You’ll need at least 10 napkins—or if you’re like me, just lick those incredible drippings right off your fingers. 9/10

Burrata Caprese

Italian burrata, heirloom tomato, pesto, arugula, balsamic vinaigrette, baguette

There’s a reason they don’t call this a caprese sandwich—it’s not just mozzarella. It’s filled with luscious burrata, oozing with stracciatella that coats every bite of chunky heirloom tomato in a luxurious layer of cream. Rich, bright, and indulgent. 8/10
