What is a food tour?

Imagine a walking tour of beautiful downtown West Palm Beach…the history, the architecture, the lifestyle and the culture. Now imagine adding a generous sampling of the area’s best local cuisine, and you’ve got a food tour. You’ll experience our city through food because food tells the story of a neighborhood’s people, history and culture.

Culinary Tourism is a popular trend in travel, combining sightseeing and lunch into one delicious adventure. Guests are always surprised how much of the story of our area can be told with food, and that’s what makes a food tour different than a regular sightseeing tour.

Food tours are not about dining at 5-star gourmet restaurants, they’re about tasting fresh local foods. The stops may include a gourmet restaurant, but may also include a food truck, farmer’s market or family-owned restaurant. “You don’t need a silver fork to eat good food.” –Paul Prudhomme.
