Best West Palm Beach Bars

Here in sunny South Florida, we’re known for our world-class beaches, museums and golf courses. But in addition to our famous attractions, we’re also known for our endless nightlife. Our list focuses on bars within 5 minutes of downtown West Palm Beach and includes breweries, a speakeasy, a wine bar and live music venues. Cheers to the best West Palm Beach bars.

Best West Palm Beach Wine Bar:
The Blind Monk

The Blind Monk was named one of the Top 25 Wine Bars in the U.S. by Travel & Leisure. Pair your wine with anything from their tapas menu, and you won’t be disappointed…bacon fat kettle corn, chicken liver pate, ahi tuna tostadas and the best cheese & charcuterie plate in town!  They are featured on our Downtown West Palm Beach Food Tour.

Best West Palm Beach Bar Block:
500 Block of Clematis Street

While not a bar itself, this artsy/hipster block is frequented by West Palm Beach locals and is a great block for barhopping. Stake your claim on a stool at just one of the bars here or enjoy a drink at each one.

  • Hullabaloo – the cocktails are named for dead rock stars
  • Dr. Limon – Peruvian ceviche bar
  • O’Shea’s Irish Pub
  • Voltaire
  • Lost Weekend – retro arcade games
  • Respectable Street – one of the premier live music venues in the country.

Best West Palm Beach Speakeasy:
215 Speakeasy

This speakeasy is spearheaded by an award-winning mixologist and is the epitome of cool. Just tell him which liquors and mixers you love most, and he’ll craft the perfectly balanced beverage. Pick your poison and let him work his magic!

Best West Palm Beach Downtown Brewery:
West Palm Brewery & Wine Vault

This Downtown brewery is known for its large selection of IPA, Hefeweizen, brown ales and cream ales. As the name suggests, you can also get some great wine here, too. All wines are limited production one-of-a-kind vinos that hail mostly from the owner’s vineyards in California.   Their wood-fired pizzas are fantastic!

Best West Palm Beach Bar for a Vacation Vibe:
E.R. Bradley’s Saloon

Bradley’s is known for its outdoor seating, water views and live music. This is the spot to head to if you’re looking for an upbeat nighttime crowd or a laid-back daytime lunch or brunch. The outdoor section is decorated like a Tiki bar, so you’ll feel like you’re on vacation.

Best West Palm Beach Bar – Sophisticated:
Camelot

This John F. Kennedy-themed bar is full of the late president’s memorabilia and attracts an upscale crowd. You might even forget that you’re not on Cape Cod with their New England-style seafood.  This semi-private bar offers wine, cocktails and beer.

Best West Palm Beach Bar – Rooftop:
Roxy’s Pub

One of the benefits of living in a city right on the water is enjoying the view from a rooftop bar. The best part is that Roxy’s is as laid-back is it gets in this city, so there’s no need to wear your heels for a night out here.

Best Brewery Near Downtown West Palm Beach (tie):
Civil Society Brewery

Only a five-minute drive from Downtown, Civil Society specializes in IPA. They have a rotating selection of beers on tap as well as cans of beer.  Civil Society is just a few doors down from Grato, one of the most popular restaurant’s in West Palm Beach, and they’ll deliver to Civil Society!

Best Brewery Near Downtown West Palm Beach (tie):
Steam Horse Brewing

Another brewery located only five minutes from downtown, Steam Horse is a great spot to head when you want some great beer paired with tasty eats (thanks to its convenient location next to Grandview Public Market).

Best Palm Beach Bar:
The HMF and Seafood Bar at the Breakers

If you’re feeling fancy, cross the bridge to Palm Beach to experience the glamour of The Breakers Hotel. There are not one — but two — bars here with their own unique vibes.

  • HMFstands for Henry Morrison Flagler who built The Breakers. It has a Great Gatsby vibe.
  • Seafood Bar where the bar itself is an aquarium that looks out over the impossibly blue Atlantic Ocean. As the name suggests, it’s known for seafood.
