What to Expect

Our Market Tour & Cooking Class has ended for the season and will resume in November.  Please contact us if you are interested in arranging a private cooking class.  Private classes are available for 8 – 10 guests and are ideal for Bridal Showers and Birthday Celebrations.  

Join cookbook author and restaurant critic, Judith Olney, for our Market Tour & Cooking Class.  It’s a epicurean experience that includes an insider’s tour of a local market and a hands-on cooking class with lunch and wine.   Market locations vary and change with the season.   Our tours include the award-winning West Palm Beach Greenmarket,  Swank Farm Market and  Ethnic Markets (Indian, Italian, Mediterranean & Oriental).  Please see the schedule below for a listing of markets, dates and times.

Our hands-on cooking classes are taught by Judith Olney in her beautiful historic home.  Judith is a former Washington Times Restaurant Critic, Award-Winning Food Movie Producer and Cookbook Author (The Joy of Chocolate, Judith Olney On Bread, The Farm Market Cookbook, Judith Olney Entertains, Comforting Food and Summer Food).

All Market Tours & Cooking Classes are held at a market AND at Judith’s home.  Guests are required to provide their own transportation, and we will provide you with directions. Upon purchasing tickets, you will receive instructions on where to meet.


West Palm Beach Greenmarket Tour & Cooking Class

If you’d like to learn how to shop like a chef, discover fresh local produce and meet farmers, join us for our West Palm Beach Greenmarket Tour and Cooking Class. The West Palm Beach Greenmarket has been recognized as the top market in the state of Florida by Cooking Light Magazine, and Dr. Oz gives it a “thumbs-up” each time he visits. You’ll begin your day with a Cuban Coffee (Cafe Cubano), fresh juice and a sweet treat as we embark on a chef-led tour of the the West Palm Beach Greenmarket.  We’ll even give you a little shopping time!  The West Palm Beach Greenmarket is open October through April, so don’t expect these classes in the off-season.


Swank Farm Tour & Cooking Class

The best chefs know Swank Farm for the highest quality and best tasting produce in FLORIDA!   Judith will lead you on a tour of this hydroponic, all natural farm where you’ll pick from the garden and compose some dishes fresh from the farm!  During our tour, Swank Farm is hosting a market with vendors selling eggs, olive oils, breads and more, so we’ll make sure to build in a little shopping time.  Fresh, fun and delicious!


International Market Tour & Cooking Class

Interested in learning to cook with a little international flair?  Learn how to use Asian ingredients, sample Italian delicacies and discover how to buy the best Mediterranean ingredients.  Our International Market Tour & Cooking Class gives you a chance to explore and learn about ethnic ingredients and cooking.

Downtown West Palm Beach Food Tour
Your best bet is the Evernia Street Parking Garage, located at 333 Evernia St.  Parking is $1 per hour.  Our first tasting location is just 1 block from the garage, and the tour finishes 1 block from the garage.  You will also find metered parking along Evernia Street…just make sure  you choose a meter that allows you to park for a little over 3 hours.  Credit cards are accepted at both the parking garage and meters.

Free Parking is available in the Banyan Garage located at 195 N. Narcissus Avenue. Our tour meets just 1 block from the garage.

Downtown West Palm Beach Food Tour
Yes! We will do our best to provide substitute tastings for most dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan, allergies) with advance notice. In cases of multiple food restrictions or allergies, a substitute may not be possible.  Please indicate your restrictions when purchasing your tickets.  If you would like to know the substitutions prior to purchasing your ticket, please email us at

Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance because our food orders are placed long before we step foot in the restaurants.

The tour runs rain or shine, so come prepared with an umbrella or raincoat otherwise, we’ll provide you with a lovely poncho! Welcome to sunny Florida, but be prepared for brief downpours in the summertime. Don’t worry, we’ll linger a little longer at a restaurant if we need to wait for a storm to pass. In the unlikely event of a cancellation due to severe weather, we will attempt to re-schedule your tour or provide a refund.  If severe weather is forecast, please pay close attention to your email for any changes or cancellations of your tour.

Downtown West Palm Beach Food Tour
Children are welcome, but please keep in mind that this is a 3-hour, 1 mile walking tour, and some children do not have the stamina or attention span to enjoy it. You know your children best. Please note that we do offer 1 alcohol tastings, and a non-alcoholic beverage will be provided for children.  We offer a discounted rate of $45 for children 12 and under, and children 3 and under are free.  Children 3 and under are welcome to share your food.
