Miami to West Palm Beach: Luxury Brightline Florida Train

Train

Miami to West Palm Beach by Brightline Train

The stretch of sun and sand from Miami to West Palm Beach is one of the most popular in Florida, but we don’t recommend driving.  I-95 is notorious for traffic, and who wants to spend their vacation in the car?

Brightline offers train service from Miami to West Palm Beach. This luxurious high-speed train shuttles you throughout South Florida faster — and in style. The best part? The fun doesn’t  need to pause during travel time. Cocktails and snacks are available at the stations and on the train.

No matter where you sit, you’ll be more comfortable than in your car. Brightline offers two classes of service:  smart class and select class. Both offer comfortable seats, charging stations and wi-fi.  With select class, you’ll enjoy complimentary cocktails and snacks at the station and on the train. Imagine enjoying a glass of wine with a charcuterie and cheese board….yes, please!

If you board in Miami, you’ll arrive in Ft. Lauderdale in 30 minutes and West Palm Beach in about an hour.  A fourth station is scheduled to open in Orlando in 2021.

Things to Do When You Arrive in West Palm Beach

When you arrive in West Palm Beach, you’ll have your pick of activities. Restaurants, shopping, world-class museums and gardens and the best greenmarket in Florida.  We recommend staying at least one day (or two if you can swing it!).

Make the most of your day on a West Palm Beach Food Tour as you experience 5 locally-owned restaurants in 2 1/2 hours.  It’s a delicious combination of food, drinks, history, culture and fun!  From classic Cuban cuisine to the best key lime pie in town, you’ll savor the flavors of South Florida.  When you book a West Palm Beach Food Tour and go by Brightline, you’ll save!

The Downtown West Palm Beach Food Tour  and Happy Hour Tour begin just a few blocks from the Brightline Station, and the Historic West Palm Beach Neighborhood Food Tour is a short 5-minute Lyft or Uber ride away.

World-Class Museums

We’re more than just beautiful beaches, we’re also known for our indoor activities. Take a break from the sun and enjoy 2 world-class museums. The Flagler Museum showcases Henry Flagler’s gilded-age estate, and the Norton Art Museum has one of the largest collections in Florida.  Both museums are a short 5-minute Uber or Lyft ride from the Brightline Station.

Four Arts Botanical & Sculpture Garden

Pack a picnic and head to the Four Arts Botanical and Sculpture Garden just over the bridge in Palm Beach.  Breathtakingly beautiful! While you’re on the island of Palm Beach, pop over to The Breakers resort for a cocktail and a glimpse of the rich & famous lifestyle.  The botanical and sculpture garden is just over a mile walk from the Brightline Station.

West Palm Beach Greenmarket and Flea Market

If you’re visiting on a Saturday, the award-winning West Palm Beach Greenmarket is a must-do boasting over 90 vendors with fresh produce, exotic plants, beautiful flowers, ethnic foods, fresh baked breads and more.  Just 2 blocks away, you’ll find the Flea Market. Both markets are walking distance from the Brightline Station. Note:  The West Palm Beach Greenmarket and Flea Market are only open October thru April.

Shopping

Whatever your tastes, we’ve got you covered!  Rosemary Square is an outdoor retail, restaurant and entertainment mecca just steps from the Brightline Station. You’ll find shops like Restoration Hardware, Anthropogie and Sur la Table. Our favorite Rosemary Square restaurant is High Dive for the best seafood in town. If you fancy antiques, you’ll love Antique Row in West Palm Beach featuring over 40 antique stores.  Worth Avenue beckons just over the bridge in Palm Beach with an impressive array of luxury designer brands.  It’s often referred to as the Rodeo Drive of the east coast.

It might be only 70 miles from Miami to West Palm Beach, but the chances of making that trek in one hour are slim… there’s always traffic and construction. With Brightline, you can relax and enjoy the ride.

Whether you’re a South Florida resident or visiting from out of state, we hope to see you in West Palm Beach.
